I am humbled to be featured in Wedluxe for our styled shoot. It’s true, we only had 2 weeks to plan this styled shoot and it was well worth it. We styled this shoot for the Wedluxe Bold Statement Edition with the theme High Society. Periwinkle Blue was our main color which was a challenge to incorporate into the shoot. With a team of amazing vendors, we were able to design a sophisticated shoot where one color was juxtaposed against a sleek white background.

Our main feature| Floral Love: I wanted to play around with florals. From a cascading ombre floral table runner to our model laying in a bed of Hydrangeas, we went limitless with florals. With a vision in mind, our floral designer was able to deliver exactly what we opted for and more.

16 Jan A CULTURAL AFFAIR | INTIMATE BACK YARD SIKH WEDDING

Written By: Pamela
Planning/ Styling: Maude Affair Event Coordinators

Cultural Weddings are our niche. Nothing does it better than seeing two different cultural families combine as one. Kam + Myles planned to have an intimate Sikh Wedding in the Bride’s parents Backyard. It started with a Sikh Ceremony during the day with 400 guests and concluded with a cocktail party and reception. The celebration included on-site Indian Cuisine by Maharaja Catering. Fresh coffee was brewed by “Just Bean in Love” in the morning prior to the ceremony.

We did on-site coordination throughout the day, going into the night. The couple were specific on wanting a simple but elegant garden-theme wedding, which was exactly what they received. The colors of ivory, burnt orange and lots of greenery were incorporated throughout the décor by Koncept Event Design and Flowerz.

The evening entertainment concluded with a bhangara team from Abbotsford Arts Academy that did a remarkable performance with the rest of the night topped off with Xfusion Roadshow as the DJ’s.

16 Jan STYLED SHOOT | A TIMELESS AFFAIR HUES OF BLACK & GOLD

Featured in Real Weddings
Planning/Styling/Creative Direction: Maude Affair Event Coordinators

When I planned this shoot, I wanted to make a bold statement. Nothing could of done it better than using the contrast of black and gold with settle nude tones. Beautiful gowns from designers Ines Di Santos and Galia Lahav available at Bisou Bridal were showcased along with specific details I wanted to inspire todays and future brides with. I wanted it to be elegant and speak “sophistication” to brides, no need to be afraid of dark tones.

Being raised in a construction family, I really wanted to incorporate something a part of me. I used black rectangle tiles as name cards. Maurelle Calligraphy and Design made it even more elegant with her gold calligraphy touch. To top it off, I went to Elsa Corsi with an inspiration to design a 3-piece ring set, what she delivered left me speechless.
